BorgWarner & Boss Carpet Presents The 6th Annual Florissa Family Fun Run / 5K Run & Walk
Saturday, April 23, 2022 held at Sauk Valley Community College
Thank you for your interest in the Sixth Annual Florissa Family 5K and Fun Run! The focus of this event is to raise funds to support Florissa, the children’s division of Kreider Services which helps those with developmental, behavioral, social or emotional needs. Funds raised will directly support the programs at Florissa, located at 144 North Court Dixon, Illinois.

Virtual Runners & Walkers
If you are unable to participate in this year’s 5K/Fun Run, become a Virtual Participant. Pay the registration fee and send in your registration. If you wish, your registration fee can help a runner or walker who is unable to afford the fee. Otherwise Virtual Participant fees will support the children’s services of Florissa.
Team Challenges — 2 Different Awards
1. Take advantage and get a team of co-workers or family and friends together and join the Team Challenge. Challenge others to get involved. A minimum of 5 runners/walkers per team. The finish times of the top five runners from each team will be combined. The team with the lowest combined score will receive top honors.
2. If you’re running/walking, ask others to join your Team and collect donations. Team with the highest amount of collected donations for Florissa will be recognized at the event. By participating, you will leave your impression on the Florissa Center!
April 21 Online Registration Ends
Online registration for the 5K Race and Fun Run will end April 21st at 5:00 p.m. Pre-registration is $25.00 if paid before the race day.
April 22 Race Packet Pick-up
Registered participants can pick up their event packet on April 22nd at
Sauk Valley Community College between Noon – 4:00 p.m.
April 23 Day of Race Registration
Registration the day of the race starts at 7:00 a.m. and concludes at 8:30 a.m. Day of registration is $30.00 and registrants are not guaranteed to receive an event T-shirt.
8:30 a.m. Fun Run!
The Fun Run is FREE for kids 9 years and under and begins at 8:30 a.m.
with a 6/10ths of a mile course on the grounds of Sauk Valley Community College. Day of registration for the Fun Run will begin at 7:30 a.m. Each runner will receive a T-shirt, medal and a goodie bag.
9:00 a.m. 5K Run and Walk
This Run/Walk is a full 5K (3.1 miles) on the grounds of Sauk Valley Community College and will begin promptly at 9 a.m. with registration from 7:00 – 8:30 a.m. This 5K Run/Walk is open to all ages from 6 years of age and up. Runners are Chip Timed. Awards will be given for seven age groups, male and female runners.
Donations
If you would like to collect donations for Florissa. Persons donating do not have to walk with the team. This is a way to participate without walking or running, while still supporting the programs of Florissa. Please complete the donation sheet found at www.florissacenter.org or call 815.288.6691 ext. 249.to have one sent.
