Thank you for your interest in the Florissa Family 5K and Fun Run! The focus of this event is to raise funds to support Florissa, the children’s center of Kreider Services which helps those with developmental, behavioral, social or emotional needs. Funds raised will directly support the programs at the children’s center, located at 144 North Court in Dixon.
VIRTUAL RUNNERS & WALKERS
If you are unable to participate in this year’s 5K/Fun Run, become a Virtual Participant. Pay the registration fee and send in your registration. If you wish, your registration fee can help a runner or walker who is unable to afford the fee. Otherwise Virtual Participant fees will support the children’s services of Florissa.
CORPORATE CHALLENGE
Take advantage of early bird registration fee and get a team of co-workers or family and friends together and join the Corporate Challenge. Challenge other businesses to get involved. A minimum of 5 runners/walkers per corporate challenge team. By participating you will leave your impression on the Florissa Center!

February 28 • Early Bird Pricing ends — The special Early Bird pre-registration pricing of $20.00 per entry will end at midnight on February 28th. T-shirts are guaranteed with Early Bird registration.
April 26 • Pre-registration ends — Pre-registration (including online) for the 5K Race and Fun Run will end April 26 at 5:00 p.m. Pre-registration race fee is $25.00. Last day to be guaranteed an event T-shirt is April 17, 2018.
April 27 Pre-race • Packet Pick-up — Registered participants can pick up their event packet on April 27th at Sauk Valley Community College between Noon—4:00 p.m.
April 28 • Day of Registration — Registration the day of the race starts at 7:00 a.m. and concludes at 8:00 a.m. Day of Registration fee is $30.00. Registrants who register the day of the event are not, however, guaranteed to receive an event T-shirt.
8:00 a.m. • Fun Run! — The Fun Run is FREE for kids 9 years and under and begins at 8:00 a.m. with a 6/10ths of a mile course at Sauk Valley Community College. Day of registration for the Fun Run will begin at 7:30 a.m. Each kid will receive a medal and goodie bag.
8:30 a.m. • 5K Run & Walk — For the young and young at heart! This Run/Walk is a full 5K (3.1 miles) on the grounds of Sauk Valley Community College and will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. with registration from 7:00 – 8:00 a.m. The 5K Run/Walk is open to all ages from 6 years of age and up.
Part of the 5K Run will be a Corporate Challenge. A minimum of 5 runners per Corporate team. Finish times of the top five runners from each team will be combined. The team with the lowest combined score will receive top honors and the “Challenge Trophy”.
